I'd point out that it generally costs a company a lot less to fix a problem and make the customer happy, especially if they have a good product to begin with, than it does to ignore the problem. With the advent of the internet, it is pretty easy for a disgruntled customer to put everything up for public view...

The people in this case are like me... I tell anyone who asks about companies that do good work, I tell everyone about companies that do bad work.
