On my last boat a rigger recommended what I believe was Warp Speed line for my furler. It was a hard, round line that was less prone to jamming. I believe it had a Dyneema core. Does this sound like warp speed?
I've not had warp speed specifically, but it's equivalent in other brands so no direct experience with that specific brand. I've never had kinking issues with them the larger diameter lines I agree are kind of stiff. But down at the diameter needed for a furling line, doesn't seem to be the same. I currently run just straight HMWPE (Dyneema) line for my staysail furler - quote like it...I've had warp speed for halyards and I'm not really a fan. I don't have any on my boat now. It's too stiff in my opinion. I wouldn't like it for a furler for that reason. It's also not easy on the hands. I thought it kinked pretty easily, too. If you already have it, let us know your experience. I originally bought it for its performance specs.
