Hi All,

I just wanted to post a warning about doing business with Jack Rabbit Marine. In the past I have purchased quite a few items from them and they were very good about prompt shipping, customer support etc..

Anyway, a guy on another forum had them charge his credit card 3K 21 days ago and he never received the product. The web site now says "Store Closed"!

So, if you are a telephone and catalog shopper DO NOT call Jack rabbit and place and order or you may get taken for a ride too. I don't know what happened? They always had a very good reputation and treated me better than many on-line retailers.? I hope no one else got screwed..

Yikes! Thanks for the Heads Up...

...I've done business with them many times and always had great service. Hope they recover and your friend gets his stuff. Rick D.

Nothing shows up yet on Google or Yahoo news

but keep this thread on top by any means until this is settled.

I, too, have had good experiences

with Jack Rabbit Marine, but have not dealt with them recently. I also had good experiences with Sailnet -- until it, too, folded (and has since arisen from its own ashes). Given the fact that there is very little margin in selling marine supplies (yes, I'm familiar with all the stories about how West Marine gouges people), it may be that the risk of failure is part and parcel of doing buisiness online. While you may pay more in a brick and mortar store, you'll walk out with the goods in hand. Caveat emptor, squared.

Thats the way it goes

You might pay more at West Marine if you dont know how to shop, but you walk out the front of the store with your product. That goes along way in my world!
