Hi all Beneteau owners - I wanted to share this report with you. I have an Oceanis 390 with copper line from the gas locker to the stove. We had a gas explosion recently with a crew member burned and hospitlaised. I had the boat surveyed and the following was found. I suggest everyone have a look at their boats to ensure similar problems don't exist elsewhere. Wishing you all happy and safe sailing. "We found quite a hole in the copper gas line where it penetrates the fibreglass bulkhead amidships between the aft storage locker and the aft cabin. From original factory construction we found a sharp hole had been cut through the bulkhead without sanding the sharp edges and/or installing a rubber insert so chafe could not take place."

I just installed a propane cabin heater and found that the propane line from the tank locker was rubber hose type that was routed trough PVC pipe all the way to the stove. A pretty chafe proof set up as the PVC passed through all bulkheads and opprtunities for chafe.
