This is a warning to not store strong cleaners onboard, especially those containing acid. I had a jug of Mary Kate On and Off Hull and Bottom Cleaner stored on my boat and all it took was a loose cap to cause widespread corrosion in just a couple of weeks. Fortunately I caught it in time so as to avoid permanent damage. Here's a link to the complete story:

Good advise, Bob. Mary Kate hull cleaner is a combination of three strong acids. It's 30% by weight hydrochloric and phosphoric acids... with a bit of oxalic acid tossed in. It does it's job well, but risky to leave it on the boat.
