I have a 97 29.5 with a yanmar 2gm20f. I just put her back in the water in may and since then the warning buzzer beeps occasionally (every 45 seconds or so) has anyone had the same issue? If so did you find a cause.

Are you sure nothing is wrong? Is it overheating? Did you check your engine exhaust to make sure water is coming out? Did you check your oil level?

I had a "similar" problem several years ago on our 2GM. Check the connection on the temp sensor. The connection that was "glued" to the sensor was loose and would chirp. Yours sounds more like a short, but who knows (you soon will).

I have the same problem however I am sure no warning lamps are coming on as I check immediately while the buzzer is bleeping (not constant). I don't think it's the sensors since that would light up the warning lamps too. If it were a loose buzzer connection it would not sound at all.
