WANTED!! Looking for the gear that makes a rudder a kick up rudder for a c-22. I have the blade and handle but want to make it a kick up style. A post I placed this summer, told of my experience with a jet ski and how my rudder was broken. I'm in the process of repairing the rudder and would like to fix it so this doesn't happen again! Not possible

The kick up rudder is an all together different rudder. Not possible to convert a standard rudder over to one. Catalina Direct, 800-959-7245, sells them for about $315, not cheap.

Troy Technically, your 22 rudder is a kick up.The lever on the side that keeps it in place holds it down by friction(and gravity).The keel extends much further down than your rudder and is more likely to hit bottom first thus protecting your rudder and eliminating the need for a kick up "mode".
