I think these boats and their type are very suitable for the new sailor. Pretty funky looking boats with great versatility. Others to consider are the Drascombe and Sea Pearl. The Drascombe comes in various sizes and are made in England. I don't think they are distributed here anymore. They are a very sturdy boat. I have attached a link below with a picture of their larger boat with a cuddy. May be a little hard to find but not impossible. There is a web sute fron England you can look up. SEa Pearls are similar but I don't know much about them. Good luck in your search
