My wife and I will be in the lower keys the month of June and would like to rent a 25' to 35' sailboat for an occasional day excursion. Been sailing for 40 years and will post a damage deposit. I will have my own outboard with me during this trip if needed. Also, looking for lodging in Key West during our search for ministry and business opportunities that month. Established references available from our home base in B'ham Alabama. Thanks.

I stayed at Keylime Sailing Club in Octber 2008. It is in Key Largo. Very friendly folks. Boats are mostly Catalina 22 and are safe and seaworthy but a little rough. The "cabins" are VERY basic and if you are used to The Ritz Carlton this is not for you. The manager does take guests out for a sunset sail on one of their larger boats. Fun times. Very layback.
