who cares, it floats and I'll bet there's a sail under that cover, needs paint, and I'll bet you can sleep at least 4 in the cabin, so what more do you need? What is your motivation?

My guess: The boat is an Overbuilt 9.4. I was counting shrouds and forestays.....There appear to be a few more than on the "average" boat. Of course, it is a 9.4 instead of a 9.2 because the length is extra too.
The real questions are: How does it sail? Do you need crew? Should I bring lunch?

And you're right doesn't really matter but I thought I'd have a little fun with it (thanks for playing along). It's a 10m, built in 1971 (hey Maine......they guy couldn't read his own paperwork). And Bill............there is no prize (new boat and all), cuz it's not a C30. And yes it is DEFINITELY overbuilt Phil. Gonna post the answer about Lunchtime.....................wanna see if anybody gets it but none are right yet.
BTW..................I do have a US25 for sale (cheap) now. Gotta make room for the new one (pm if ya wanna know more about her). New clue enclosed for the game...............

Wow, I have never seen that many shrouds on a boat before. I am curious about this model. A 10M? Never heard of it before. Looks like she needs a little TLC. Is the topping line missing?
I was thinking with that many strings it was a 1975 Harp from the Boston Pop's string section. (Out of tune I would suspect.)

After some research I have found they are still around (the older ones that is), but finding ones w/o the teak decking are scarce. Finding a 10m is scarcer still, and the pilot berth version is really rare. The fact that I found it in Oklahoma, of ALL places, is a small miracle. Probably won't say what I paid for her because that was the REALLY cool part.

I'm in love with her RAD, she's BEYOND overbuilt. I used to sit in Jupiter Inlet on my Carter 33 and drool about these things and knew I'd never make enough to own one. I said I wasn't gonna do it, BUT; I gave $5000 for the boat. Even blind pigs find truffles every now and then I guess.
Ross...........it's hard to do but we can head down the McClellan-Kerr nav system to the Arkansas then into the Mississippi and on to New Orleans. I always thought the Swiss navy would be beyond cool with Magnus Holmberg as Commander in Chief and saing into battle on Najad 570's. Not sure where they'd find anyone to fight though.
