I have an Oday 27 built 1975. Currently has carpet in the Cabin Sole. Would like to replace with nice wood floor.

How hard is this to do? Is the cuss factor between 1-5 or >5?
Can you use wood purchased for flooring at Lowes or Home Depot? Laminate?

Any suggestions? Is it easier just to carpet?

Are there kits out there for such?

Any help, advice, counsel will be much appreciated!

Thanks
Randy

No laminate. You want something that will not be harmed when the boat has 10 inches of water in it and left for a week. That points to oily rainforest hardwoods or the products or marine plywood a with a teak and holy veneer. Check out Jamestown distributors. I'm afraid I may not be on the same page as you. Teak and holy soles are very very different than your carpet option. You should use carpet if that is an acceptable option for you. Very easy to install. (Use carpet tape)
