I am planning to install my own version of adjustable ez jacks. some one on an earlier thread suggested to install blocks on the underside of the spreaders. can anyone tell me how far out from the mast is the optimum location for the blocks?
I climbed the mast today with a Mast Mate mast ladder to reinstall the jib halyard that got hung up last weekend when the messenger line failed.
wasnt too bad.. I am 6'2 and 225lbs and 61 years old. no trouble with my left leg, but have limited range of motion on my right and had a little difficulting reaching the next rung on my right side. would suggest getting one made with 14" rise between steps instead of the 17" rise. If you are under 6', you will have difficulty getting your feet to the next step.
When I left home this morning, my wife told me to pin my name and address to my shirt so they will know where to send the body...
