Recently we sold our place in CT to move to FL. We packed our carpetbag with all the cash and moved to San Mateo into an old leaky 19ft Mallard camp-trailer, three Shelties and all. It can get pretty cold in February and you can often get three-dog-nights...fortunately we have three dogs and, y'know? it WORKS! We figured it would take upwards of a year to get a permanent place and bring our Venture 25 down so we bought an Ericson 23 to sail and fix up to enjoy as we searched. On the way home, we ran across an ad for a Catalina 22 and just to verify our wisdom in getting the Ericson, we checked it out. The deal was just too good to pass up, and we bought it also. Neither had a trailer and we soon had both in slips a nice marina. Good luck prevailed and we soon found a place to live and brought our Venture 25 down from CT. After getting a trailer for the Ericson and getting it out of the water (and a $70/mo slip fee) we got a nice Galvanized trailer for the Catalina 22, but got an O'Day 19 to boot. Somebody stole our jonboat and we got an O'Day 17 to use as a canal boat in order to have enough room for Fangs, Aeriel, and Anubis. Anybody need a sailboat?
