Been looking for a smaller pocket cruiser sailboat. Can't decide if she wants to stay on a trailer year around or just during winter storage. I do like the O'Day 222. Question is I see an ad for a 16 foot American Fiberglas Company Boat called the American. Pix's show it on a trailer and has a centerbaord. Can't think there would be room enough to take a nap under what must be a small cabin as the is a couple portholes. The design looks real good with a "Clipper" style bow. Saw one at a boat show
I saw the boat at a show about 15 years ago, and in many ads since. A nice looking daysailer, but no room under the cuddy for much. For example, not nearly as much room as under the cuddy of an Oday/Rhodes Daysailer. The neatest feature I thought was the molded in-place storage space for one of those sixpack coolers.
