who has replaced the nappy felt-like wall covering in the cabin of an H26? need material, bonding agent, and installation tips. Pics would be real nice too! post 'em here or email me through the site. Thanks

Been There, JUST DONE THAT!!!!

Not as hard and scary as EVERYONE led me to believe,,,,
I JUST Replaced the "Monkey Fur" on our '84 31' Hunter,,,

The best way I found to remove existing material is BRUTE Force, and a bit of adrenalin --
I replaced this with a GREAT Indoor/Outdoor Carpet from Home Depot,,, easier to apply than it was to remove,,,, and used a safe - easy to use adhesive,,,,

if this is the route you wish to take, I will happily give you the step by step

some basic questions:
1) you talking like spray Glue-Tack?
2) how much material? due to the hull shape it wouldn't be an actual rectangle, or is the material forgiving enough to use a rectangle? so how wide should I get it?
3) did you end up w/ seems? how did that go?
4) what would you do differently, if you did it again?
5) any pics you'd be willing to upload?
6) what color did you choose?
