Can anyone tell me what year the 30's started the walk through transom??

The Mk III version of the 30, introduced in '94 if I recall correctly, has a true walk through transom, which is reversed slightly in a "sugar scoop" configuration; the hull was widened slightly in the cockpit area, and the cockpit of a Mk III is quite different from those of the earlier Mk I and Mk II versions of the boat. However, I'm pretty sure Catalina introduced a removable section to the transom in the later Mk II boats that facilitated access to the swim ladder - not a true walk through arrangement but perhaps useful nonetheless.
