Walk the docks . . . .

If you like the idea of the life of servitude and want a job on a mega yacht, walk the docks in Ft. Lauderdale. You may find a job that you're quite happy with. If you want a job on a large commercial fishing boat that operates in Alaska, walk the docks in Seattle, there are a lot of fishing companies that provide great opportunities for young people that can have the right documentation to legally work in the U.S.

Here's an Idea

You are quite right about that. In 1972 I walked the docks in Los Angeles and got on to crew to the Panama Canal and on to Aruba, thus beginning my sailing career. Our son, at age 21, walked the docks in Jacksonville and got on a boat to the Panama Canal and on to Bellingham, WA. He then walked again and signed on for a season of Salmon fishing in Kodiak, Alaska. Therefore, if you are trying to get rid of that offspring that is like fleas in the carpet and won't leave, have him or her walk the docks.
