Four months ago I installed a Wabastco 16000 btu unit which worked fine in the cool mode Then I switched to the heat maode with no issues I then installed a Pro Safe Fail Safe Galvanic Isolator and the unit worked in the heat modewith no issues Then all of a sudden the following happens The unit will start fine but after a cycle when the unit goes to kick back in the pump starts (normal) and as soon as the compressor goes to start the voltage drops dramaticly and the main 30 amp circut breaker trips Can anyone out ther give me some ideas as to where to start to look for the cause of this issue

Ed,

I might be stating the obvious. I would start with the easy things first. ensure all connections are clean and tight. This inlcudes the shore-power chord, the shore power cord recepticles, the connections in the breaker pane, the connections to the GVI and the connections to the AC unit The main-breaker can trip due to current overload caused by poor connections.
The problem is most likley down stream of the breaker. But checking connections up stream and down stream is important.

Following this, if the problem persists, have the compressor motor load checked. Bad bushings or a bad start capaciter may be the cause.

Good luck.
