I need to upgrade the charging capabilities on my boat. The current hitachi 80 amp alternator is not doing the job. Mainly because it is set to output at 13 volts and at that rate the batteries will never get charged. Can you recomend an aesy retrofit, such as an alternator with a smart regulator that will fit right in or am I asking for too much.ThanksVito Ciaravino

An easy solution.

Visit the web site of Adverc at http://adverc.co.uk There is certainly no need to fit a new alternator as an Adverc regulator will give you all the battery power you need.You may have a little difficulty splitting the Hitachi to make a simple wiring connection as they must tighten their casings with lump hammers.
