I have lost the mainsale gate on my Isomat mast of my 1990 Vision-32. I have been trying to find a replacement, but have not been able to identify what to get. Can you fellow captains help? A specific source and part number would be perfect. Thanks, Bill Wirth

We bought a Hunter Vision 32 (1991) two seasons ago. We love it, but since the beginning we had difficulty raising the sail. The mast is 54', quite high and all manual. The sail goes up with some difficulty from the beginning, but the last 10' or so is very difficult. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Raising man sail. Check what size halyard is installed. Many owners replace with larger ones which can make it difficult to raise sail. Check sheaves to make sure they are not broken or cracked. Can be a problem of that vintage. You may want to change to different slugs such as these low friction ones

These are helpful at the end of full battens which tend to torque causing friction. Batten cars are better.

Lastly go to electric winch.

Try soapy water wash slug track, then wax track when dry. Worked great for me when I could hardly raise the main
