My 1989 Vision 32 appears to have a leak in the waste holding tank as liquid is reaching the bilge. I believe the tank is a glassed-in integral design. I am seeking advice on how to repair the problem.

My 90 Vision 32 had the holding tank under the swim step in the transom lockers. It was aluminum and I had to cut it in pieces to get it out because the deck was laid over it and thus it would not fit through the locker hatch. I put in two six gallon poly tanks as a replacement. I think earlier Visions had the holding tank under the shower seat. If that is the case, you are probably going to have to cut under the seat. You can then replace the tank with a Ronco from their large stock of forms and sizes. You can use some teak trim to reinstall the fiberglass panel you cut out. See the three links below for some history. Good luck. We have a 1990 Vision 32

and our original tank was aluminum and glassed in under the shower seat. We now have a 12 gallon bladder under the STBD swim step locker. This was converted before we bought the boat and before the previous owner bought it (we're the 3rd owner) It seems to work well. The old aluminum tank is still in place, and it would be a bear to remove it, and I haven't heard of anyone who has done that. Our friends later 1990 model Vision 32 is completely different. They have a factory generator, and air. Their generator is under the PORT helm seat, and their batteries, selector switch and some other stuff is under the STBD helm seat. Their holding tank is in the STBD swim step locker. This is all from the factory.
