vinyl windshield repair

we need to repair two slits in our vinyl windshield.....and also add a piece of vinyl to the existing windshield because of an alteration we made. Any suggestions?
We don't mind overlapping the new piece.....just not sure what to use. Also what to use to butt the two pieces that have slits in them together.

take it to a shop where they make dodgers a talk with them then you will have a better handle on what needs to be done

Guess we should have done that when we were down at the marina. We brought it home to work on it here.....and no dodger repair shop around.
