Just replaced the sewage line in my forward head. Was amazed at the amount of scaling in the old line, especially considering that the boat is only 2.5 years old. A liveaboard, though. So, Peggy, do you advise periodic flushing with vinegar to keep the scaling at bay? If so, how much and how often? Thanks.

Vinegar!

White vinegar--it's much more acidic than cider vinegar. A cupful down the head once a week, undiluted, when it can stand in the hose for a while...like overnight...or during the week.
