After putting my '93 Passage 42 back in the water this Spring and turning on the VHF radio, I have to turn the squelch almost all the way up to stop the background noise. In the past, the radio has only needed a small amount of squelch to operate. Nothing has changed except that the radio just doesn't work well now. Any thoughts? Does anyone know where you could send this radio to be repaired? The model is a Vigil RT-80 (Ross Engineering Model # PRT380). How about getting parts for this radio? Wouldn't mind replacing the front panel as well. Thanks for any help.
