Took this over the weekend sailing solo with the chute out near seattle.

Wind was probably 5-12 mph. Autopilot is being put to work!

Had a fast weekend in my Tanzer 26 in winds at 38knotts gusting to 45. With a reefed main (slightly depowered, hint of luffing) and a 90% jib, we hit the 8.5 mark down wind, but averaged 7.4. Close hauled, we manged 6.8 average but had to keep an eye on the mainsheet to keep her from rounding up on occasion. For a 26 foot boat, that is flying. After 2 hours, we headed back in, wiped. It was pretty wild. Personally though, I would have preferred 12 knots and refreshments other than the breaker in the face on occasion.
