but there are 4 M10 bolt on the 1000A shunt, Do all M10 bolt need to connect with wire?
Why do you need the 1000A shunt? These monitors ship with a 500A shunt which is usually more than enough for most cruising sailboats.

More importantly which battery monitor do you have, brand and model #?

The two screws on-top are for your battery cables as are the larger of the two on the sides the smaller two screws on the sides are for the monitor to read the mV drop across the shunt..

The reason for the four large screws is most single conductor wire won't handle 1000A so you will often need to double it up.
