I am Racing the Vic-Maui this summer. ( Victoria Ca to Maui Hi.) I am equiping / rigging the boat at this time. (including North Sails, electronics etc) I am wondering how / where I should install the REQUIRED grab rails throughout the cabin. Can i drill through the deck and put backing plat or shoild I drill and epoxy to the GRID (the suport every 5 feet suporting the deck)? I am afraid drilling the GRID will weaken the structure and the integrity of the bouat. Also How can I install the lee cloths? Where do I attatch the lee cloth? By the way I My Racing record this Season to date (9/01/01 to yesterday is 4 firsts, one 2nd, one 3rd,4th,5th and dnf (equpment). My phrf is 108. Any one else out there?
