Vibration from Keel?

I recently purchased a 22 foot Catalina vinatage 1981. As the boat picks up speed, a humming vibration picks up from the bottom of the boat. I am assuming that it is related to the Keel or cable attached to the Keel. Have others experienced the noise and is there a solution.ThanksHOLTINTULSA@AOL.COM

Loosen Keel Cable

When the humming starts try cranking out some more keel cable and the humming should stop. It has always worked for me.Barry Broyles C22 # 1909 "Brighteyes"

hello, yes the hum from the keel cable is normal, it lets you know when you are moving at a good clip. let some more cable out to take the tension off the cable and it will stop.john
