Hello Bill, As a trailer sailor who has to set up his mast each time he goes sailing, antenna cabling is a problem. Catalina direct used to sell a deck mounted waterproof fitting for hooking up the antenna cable, but it is no longer available from their supplier. What are your recommendations for a good waterproof way to frequently connect and disconnect a mast mounted antenna cable to the deck, without significant signal loss. Some have suggested to just use a female to female connection through the deck, but I don't see how this would stand up to the elements. Some have suggested not to mount the antenna on the mast at all, but to mount it to a handrail. I hate to lose the 25 foot of height gained. Do you have any recommendations?
