VHF 12v cable issue

1997 Hunter 376 owner. I'm finally getting around to cleaning up the wire mess left behind by the PO. Old electrical tape and duct tape throughout, and lots of unused cable going no where. This weekend it was the pedestal. I've gotten everything cleaned up and powered up except for the VHF. I know the radio works because I've attached it to the GPS red/blk cable and it powered up perfectly. I have 12v at the VHS breaker but can not get a 12v reading at the other end of the cable, red/white at the pedestal. I can't even seem to be able to find the run of this cable within the boat but I do see where the cable enters the boat at the bottom of the pedestal. Anybody had this issue and/or any ideas on how to resolve it?

WOW! First time I've posted on this forum and have had no interaction. Is there no one out there that has had this type of wiring problem and can give me some input?

Connect the wires together on one end and keep pwr off. Put multimeter on ohms scale and read. If it reads a short it is good, if reads open use it to pull a new power cord. Chief
