I have had several folks contact me regarding the Vera Rudders on the Hunter 216 and the Hunter 27 Edge as I never took one fully apart as a dealer. I have made inquiries without success. Hopefully, SBO will come thru as to any information on this style rudder. Even the designer has not responded. I recently asked SBO to see if they can supply one to me at a reasonable cost so I can take one apart if still available so I can take it apart and report what and how this works. I will keep you abreast.
However, if there are any former small boat Hunter dealers, customers or repair facilities that have taken a Vera Rudder apart, I would appreciate your contact directly to me at davecondon@mindspring.com and indicate Vera Rudder in the header as I get a lot of garbage emails which I delete as fast as possible.
