I figured rather than keep flooding with new topics I would stick with just one. Anyway about the keel bolts... I have a picture with two bols arrowed... what is what? The bottom arrow points to a big lump of epoxy.. and perhaps a bolt under it?

Probably

Actually a side view of the bolts probably would have been more helpful. anyway from the looks of the pic the top bolt is your stop bolt, to keep the keel from going any further in its travel, and the bottom is your pivot bolt. Now as I said a side shot would have been better to tell. Your lock down bolt, should be forward of your pivot bolt and up a little from it! but cant tell with your pic. As to your cockpit, well apparently the previous owner put something in those holes, maybe vents or something, but it should just be white fiberglass like the rest of the cockpit! You can fix that yourself very easily! Anyway good luck with your project! With the interior stripped out, you can make her the way you want!

I believe your right

I believe that is your pivot bolt hole under the bulge at the bottom. Id just take come coarse sandpaper or small dremel grinding wheel and grind it down to see. apparently the former owner had a leak problem there and decided to glass over the hole. He should have just gone down to True Value hardware and bought some rubber washers. If the bolt is bent, you will have to replace it anyway. The forward bolt hole is the lock down, and the uppermost one is the stop bolt. With the keel down, resting against the stop bolt, your lock down bolt holes should line up. That is if none of your bolts are bent. they all bend with time and need replacing every so often. Other than work, you really dont have a problem. Also I just posted a pic on the 22 owner photo section under the perfect cockpit. if your interested on viewing my helm area, it might give you some ideas.
