Venture 22' HIN location

I am looking at a rundown MacGregor Venture sitting in a vacant lot and need to know where the HIN is located so I can get more info about it. Thanks!!

hull number

You will find the hull number on the stern, right hand side. It is possible for the boat to be so old that it was built before the numbers were required.

On transom. Mine is on the upper starboard corner stamped in the fiberglass.

Look around the cabin entrance . They drilled little holes to form numbers on the wooden panels

222 HIN location

I had a 1974 Venture 222 pop top for five years, and the HIN number (#283) was located behind the winch, under companionway entrance, toward the stern, on the starboard side. That was a sweet boat after all the mods I made.
