Ventilation

Every summer I get mold on the woodwork. It is not too bad but I do not like it.

I have a solar powered fan over the head and just forward of the transom, both on exhaust I think. After vent has a battery so it runs into the evening I believe.

I have been thinking about adding a louvered panel to the companionway slides. Has anyone tried that?

The special vent that runs from the cockpit well to the forward cabin is open.

In Maine we have cold water and maybe I just have to live with this, but I'd appreciate any ideas.

I have a solar fan over the head and one on the forward hatch cover. Both day only. Then there is a pipe-scoop type vent on the center of the cabin top. That's all I have and the boat seems very dry inside.

I did just get some washboards made up with screen in the center. That is for when I am sleeping, that the skeeters don't eat me.

I haven't picked them up yet, but the guy is called Stillwater Woodworks in Annapolis.
