Vented Loop Removal

In trying to understand the waste piping system for a 1986-31' Hunter, I would like to know if I could remove the vent loop, hand pump and piping related to the over-board discharge system? I only sail in-land bay waters and I have many local pump out locations. I am getting ready to replace the head hoses and existing 3/4" vent (to 1") and would like to not replace the over board discharge pipe system if possible. Please advise.

No problem...

Just close the seacock and put a plug in the thru-hull. Then re-plumb the system as if the thru-hull didn't exist.

I removed mine

This arrangement is illegal on the Great Lakes where I sail, so I removed the hoses and pump and capped the thru hull when I bought the boat. No problem. What amazes me is that the boat apparently operated for 10 years (1989 model) without getting "caught".
