Venice, Florida dockage

It would appear that free dockage in Venice, Florida may soon be a thing of the past for those that travel in that direction,

I guess I am surprised. We were run off that dock years ago by a land cop. Had no idea that overnight was/is allowed again.

Id like to know where they are planning on putting in the mooring feild?? There is an Achorage already - across from the watersports, but it always looks full. Plus I have no idea if its attached to the Venice Yacht club.

Another issue on a mooring field is that there are lots of areas with only about a foot of water. Chuck
