Are there any other Vegas in Southern California? If so, I would be interested in geting together and seeing how you have things set up.

I had a surveyor here on Saturday to go over the boat and see if I was missing anything that needed to be worked on. He couldn't believe my mast and rigging. He asked if it had just been replaced, as it looked fairly new. He was shocked to learn that it was 35 years old. I chatted with the fellow I bought the boat from on Monday and we figured out that the boat has spent less than 3 years time in the water. Makes me a happy sailor...

I have #936 in Wilmington. Still sorting Her out, so don't expect to learn
much. It would certainly be fun to sail with other Vegas.

I'm located in Riverside. I have 2/3 of an acre with a large RV pad so I have my Vega on a trailer here. I just got it in March after it sat for 10 years, so I'm remodeling the interior, painting the exterior and will probably put a new motor in her before I put her in the water. Hope to have the majority of the work done by the end of the year, as I would like to do the Newport to Ensenada race next April. Give me a yell if you would like to get together and talk story. What I've done to date is posted on my website www.ric-maxfield.net and I'm always looking for insights on how to do things. A lot of great input from this site and it really helps.

Wilmington is in L.A. Harbor, between San Pedro and Long Beach and I'm at
Leeward Bay Marina.

I'm in the Channel Islands harbor in Oxnard. Currently have my Vega listed on the American Vega website.
