Hull number 2923 -- located Port of Everett, Washington Marina (at new
docks, slip transferable) (Everett is about 40 miles north of Seattle for
those not familiar with the Puget Sound). I bought this boat in 2005 with
the intent of refitting her for another blue water trip. I had great plans
for a single-handed crossing actually from Everett to Alaska to the
Marquesas (I don't know why Alaska but it seemed like an interesting trip
and a non-stop from Sitka to the South Pacific seemed like a good idea at
the time).

But, since buying her I have had two surgeries that really slowed my
progress to a halt and then I broke my foot. A very weak (and somewhat
painful foot -- probably requiring another surgery) doesn't mix well with a
small sailboat. She has been used very little since the work started. So I
need to sell her. If I don't sell her, I will probably donate her to the
Sea Scouts for the tax write-off. I really want to sell her to someone who
would really appreciate her (thus the folks on this email).

I have spent a small fortune on this boat. It is not a fixer-upper, but I
would say a work in progress -- the boat is solid and the gear is first
rate (see attachment). I have been advised that I could probably part her
out and make more money, but I don't want to do that -- she is too nice a
boat. I think person with some skills and time could have her ready to go
with several weeks part time work. By the way she is a documented vessel.

I have bought and sold many boats and am a realist when it comes to price.
So I am offering this boat for a good offer (starting under $5,000 as that
is about I'd realize with the tax write-off I estimate). The sails alone
cost over $7,000 and the new mast and rigging around $10,000. The Beta was
about $7,000.

I have attached a list of some of the work and gear. I really hate to sell
her, but I don't want to pay the moorage, license, and insurance for a boat
I really can't use.

Thanks for your interest,
