Hi,When I got our Vega 4 sails were included2 mainsails almost identical dimension wise. Differences: 1 has only one reef, and the foot of the sail is straight, the other sail has a rounded foot.1 Jib and 1 Genoa, the Genoa has a foam core to make furling more smoothBelow I have attached the dimensions and photos. What are your experiences with the rounded foot? Also when (if ever) do you use the jib when the genoa is in place?? The job seems to be like new. Geneo pretty worn.ThanksJesper V1203https://www.dropbox.com/s/8oijvir65ej71qc/1203_forsejl.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/l17j269fk6wzptg/1203_storsejl.jpg?dl=0DimensionsElvstrøm GenoaFoot 448Leach 858Luff 888

"Rounded Foot" would probably refer to a loose footed main. There is no bolt rope along the foot, and the sail is cut slightly rounded so the middle part will hang slightly below the boom. The only attachment points on the foot are at the tack and at the clew, where there is a strong sail slide, usually made of cast metal.I prefer loose footed mains as one has more control over the shape of the lower part of the sail, using the outhaul. They are easier to get on and off, and there is no baggy "shelf" along the boom.Peter.
