Vega mentioned in "Sail"

Hi all,

has anybody else read the "Sailing Sense - when you are
alone" article in the September 07 edition of "Sail" magazine?
On page 50, the author describes sailing in the Bahamas and
writes "On the second day we'd seen only one other boat,
a southbound Albin Vega with whom we traded greetings
on the VHF." I wonder whether this might be Whisper
(The Log of Whisper )? Or does
anybody else have an idea which Vega it might have been?
The author's boat is a 35-food center cockpit sloop called
"Seaductress".

Just a fun find..

Hi everyone!

Well, I replaced the old voltage regulator/relay with an original used unit, and the chattering sound is still present and no turn over. Still not convinced that it is the starter, so I will once again remove the battery, have it charged and tested and while that is being done, go through all the wiring and see if there is a short somewhere.

The chattering still originates from the voltage regulator.relay unit. I don't want to burn this one out so I inly turned the key a couple of times.

Any more suggestions?

Put two thick cables direct from battery to dynastart start coils, see
if it turns over the engine. If this works then think about diconnecting
teh charge side of teh dynastart and just use the dynastart as a
starter.

Will do Steve.

I will have to recheck that as I believe that the previous owner already did that, thus the Bosch alternator, but that might not be necessarily so. What and where is the charge side of the dynastart, just so I don't disconnect the wrong one?
