Hi folks,
The latest cruising plan - like all the best ones, it's been drawn up using a sharp stick in wet sand at low tide - says that we are going to leave Turkey and begin sailing westward next season, probably getting back to the UK sometime in 2012, at which point Spring Fever would be sold and we would buy a bigger/ocean capable yacht, to replace her.
Actually, I think SF is more than capable of crossing oceans, but Lesley disagrees and her opinion carries more weight; but that's another story.
Whilst it's far too soon to be looking for a potential buyer who's wanting a Vega in the UK, we wondered if someone (or indeed group - boatshare for holidays?) might like a Vega down here in the eastern - or indeed central/western - Med; it would be silly (as friends have just done with their yacht) to close-haul our way back to England, only to have the buyer turn her around and sail her back here again.
She's fully rigged for long term Med cruising, would be available at a very realistic price and whilst currently in Marmaris, could within reason be delivered anywhere you want her next spring.
Just a thought, e-mail me if you're interested/want more details.
