Vega build dates (and insurers!)

Does anyone know of a database of Vega build dates? I don't have much history on mine, nor an exact build date, and of course insurers want to know this kind of stuff....... Boat number is 1766, current name is DeeJay (though I suspect that's maybe not original - and may change soon..), currently lives on the river Tay in Scotland.

Information on decent insurers in the UK would be helpful too, and thoughts on insurance generally; my current insurer seems to get a bit worried about boats over 40 years old, which must include lots of Vegas!

Any help appreciated;

Does your boat have a molded-in hull-id (HID)? It would be on the
starboard side of the transom near the top. If you do it'll look like
AMN01766372. AMN equates to Albin, then your hull number, then the month
and year and year where I made up March 1972, 0372. I'd guess your hull
was molded in '72 since the hull number is in the 17 hundreds. The flaw in
the ointment is that HIDs began in 1972 if I recall right.

Sometime later the two digits that were used for month were made harder to
understand. I just did a search and found
