I reluctantly place this wonderful boat which I purchased in 1989 for
sale. A'Bientot has, I believe been a Great Lakes boat for all of
her life. I have sailed her on Lake Michigan, the previous owner
sailed her on Lake Geneva, WI, and someone told me this boat was on
Lake Superior. She has been stored indoors for all of the 14 years
that I owned her and sailed only from May to October from Montrose
Harbor in Chicago. Unfortunately my 7-year-old daughter is
interested in horses not sailing, and my wife does not enjoy the boat
like she used to BEFORE we were married.

I have done quite a bit of work to her. Interior was redone when I
first got her. Custom built a stainless steel holding tank. Custom
built stainless steel swimming ladder. Combi Drive up date.
Injector pump rebuilt. New main 2002, new jib and Hood roller
furling system 1996. Completely stripped hull by sanding down to gel
coat in 1999 and did complete US Paint Awl-Star anti fouling system
by the book.

The boat is complete with all hardware, life vests, and so on. There
is also a custom built, tandem axle trailer to haul her on. The only
photo, which I have, is from storage, as she is currently moored in
Montrose Harbor for the summer.

This pristine example of an Albin Vega is offered for $11,000 or best
offer. The only photo, which I have, I have posted in the photo
section Vega #1472. I will take several others and post them. If
anyone in interested in this fine boat, e-mail me at
jnoland@..., or call me at 1-800-USA-WELD.

The boat is currently located in the Chicago area, but could be
trailered anywhere.

Yes there is. Even though the boat coming from the U.S., the place of
manufacture is Sweden, and there is a duty to pay. In addition you must pay
7% tax; I can't remember if it is GST or HST. It will cost about $1,800 CDN
to import a $10,000Vega (American) with a $1,000 trailer, if you are
American. I believe it may be more if you are Canadian because you have to
pay both GST and HST. This is what I was told by Customs when I trailered my
Vega into New Brunswick early in June. I was also told I could keep it in
Canada until October without paying duty or taxes.

Brian,

Yes, of course the boat includes the trailer. It was one of the
selling features for me when I purchased the boat. Enabled me to be
able to store it where ever I wanted to.
