Vega 1460 "ARENAL" is FOR SALE http://cwalsh.net/vega.htm

I am selling my Vega 1460 "ARENAL" which has provided me with many
fine sailing days. Anyone who is interested - or know someone who
may be interested - photos/inventory/info are on the web at
http://cwalsh.net/vega.htm

I had a full survey done in September 2003 - which was very
favorable. She has no moisture in the deck and has had extra
reinforcement under the mast step with an oak beam. Outer shrouds
were new 1 season ago and tons of extra cruising gear is included in
the sale incl a spare Volvo MD6A parts engine. I put $3000US into
her last summer for all sorts of gear/improvements/repairs. I'm
listing her for $9500 - which is a bargain considering all of the
extra stuff included.

My email address is colinwalsh@...
This is the best way to contact me. The yacht is located in
Wickford, RI USA on land. I am willing to sail the Vega to it's new
homeport wherever that may be! Testament to her seaworthiness...

Best of luck with the summer sailing season to all Vega owners - she
is a wonderful little yacht and I am sad that I have to sell her due
to financial difficulties.

Hi Colin
I am here looking at the boat now. I have sprint wireless for the laptop. Somebody broke the lock off the boat, the guy Bill who works here and I found her that way, pulled the hasp or whatever through the plexiglass. No lock and no place to put a lock. It's complete, radio, depth, compass loran all still there, saw no sign of the autopilot setup.

Also why so many engine parts aboard? MD6A's usually don't give much trouble at all or at least have not for me.

Do you use ICQ, MSN, AIM or Yahoo instant messenger? If so I can chat with you realtime.

OOps...
Folks forgive me, I mrant to hit reply to sender, and hit reply only. My sincere apology for spamming the list. As some of you know I came to RI as I bought a 45' Viking cabin cruiser in Warwick, and Colin's boat was 15 minutes away. For the record this is one sweet boat, its everything he said it is, the guy who surveyed her is also docked here and had nothing but good things to say about it. Anyway again sorry for replying to the whole list, and if anybody's wondering the surveyor answered my parts question, he said Colin had a spare engine and spare parts and apparently placed them on the boat as a package sale.
