HI ALL !! PREVIOUS OWNER DRIPPED VARNISHSPOTS ALL OVER MY GELCOAT WHILE "REDOING" THE TEAK !!!!WHAT CAN I USE TO REMOVE UGLY STREAKS AND SPOTS THAT WILL NOT HARM THE COATING.PAINT REMOVER HAS BEEN RECOMMENDED PUT THAT HARMS THE GEL COAT SURFACE!!!!HELP ?????BEST REGARDS:JOHN SAINDON

Ugh!

That's a tough one & I don't know if there's a tried & true answer for you. You could try soaking the varnish with acetone or paint thinner & then try scraping it off. I'm afraid of damage to the gelcoat with the scraper but it might help. Good luck!LaDonnaPS: You might want to ask this in the Gel Coat Forum.
