Vang Strap

All U Get

At the bottom of my mast, 81 Catalina 30TR, there was two boom vang eye straps. One was for a directional block from the main sheet and the other was what I used for the boom vang. These are stamped stainless and I would like to change them both, one broke in heavy winds. Cat direct didn't have a simple pad-eye. what woulod be strong enough for the vang and main sheet?

GARHAUER BAIL

PERHAPS A BAIL FROM GARHAUER. THE LINK IS ATTACHED. ON MY 98 THERE ARE PAD EYES WHICH ARE ATTACHED TO A SLUG AND ARE MOUNTED IN THE MAST GROOVE. I WOULD THINK GARHAUER WOULD HAVE THEM ALSO. EITHER ONE SHOULD WORK. GOOD LUCK

My vang straps were in the groove also, I just wanted to use the previous holes. This does look like a good option. Thanks again.
