Peggy, We've got Vacuflush heads. When we get ready to leave the boat, after we turn off power to the heads, is it better to "decompress" the vacuuum (i.e. give one more flush) or simply leave them as is. However, I always released the vacuum and turned the toilet pump off at the breaker when closing up the boat. Leaving water in the bowl just leaves hard water stains and doesn't accomplish anything...'cuz if the seal is sealing, no water in the bowl can get to it.
