Good toilets, but not worth the extra $$

Once upon a time, Vacuflush was the "only game in town" if you wanted fresh water flush and low flush water volume...but that's no longer true. Every toilet mfr now makes pressurized fresh water toilets that don't any more flush water than the V/Flush actually needs ("as little as" 1 pint is VERY carefully worded)...offer everything the V/Flush does and more (maceration, dry flush)...don't have components scattered all over the boat...and cost a fraction of the price. And you can install 'em yourself without voiding the warranty. I'm not knocking VacuFlush. Although the technology hasn't changed a bit in the 25 years it's been around, it's a good toilet...in fact, the toilet I put my own las two boats. And if I were looking at used boats that already had V/Flush installed, I'd be glad to see 'em. But there are so many other choices now that are better, I'd never spend my own money to "upgrade" to V/Flush. My $.02 worth anyway... Check out the Raritan SeaEra, Raritan Atlantes...the Tecma...several of the Jabsco Quiet Flush models.
