My 2002 Hunter 356 needs a cabinet latch mechanism. It is the type with the chrome button that you punch to open and push to re-secure. The way it works is the locking module has a place for a thin rod at the bottom and at the top. Thus when you push the access button-it rotates te upper and lower rods thus latching the cabinet door closed. I don need the rods, but I do need the locking or actuating model. I found a similar replacement mechanism on the Hunter parts page on this site, but it was not the type that work with the actuating rods. If any of you sailors can help me with this….that would be great. Thanks

If I recall correctly, the 356 run used a couple of different catch mechanisms. If you could photograph the front and back of the unit so we can ID what you've got, we can replace it. Just send the inquiry and photos to us here: SailboatOwners.com customer service
