We are thinking of purchasing a mattress for our H31 v-berth. Does anyone have an experience with options (hinged, springs, foam, etc.). Any idea on measurements and cost. Gerry

Yes,

we looked into it. It will end up costing about 1000 bucks! Your two options are matress or high density foam.

4" King 5 lb memory foam

We just went a different route. For the v-berth for our 30' Hunter. We purchased a King size memory foam sheet from ebay. ebay@foambymail.com The price was $191.00 and the shipping was $33.00 for total $224.00 on the credit card. Took about a week. We placed it directly over the cushions and then placed a matteress pad and sheet over it. My wife, who complained loudly about her back after sleeping in the berth, loves the new pad. The fit is fine bow to stern but needs to be trimmed side to side which we have not done. We have slept on it two week-ends and still think it was a good buy. The foam shipped via UPS in a compressed bag which fit in the trunk. Might be a less expensive way to go. good luck Ian s/v Meant to Be
